Isar Aerospace is a German launch startup racing to be the first company to reach orbit from European soil with its Spectrum rocket, launched from Andoya Spaceport in Norway. Through mid-2026 the second Spectrum flight was scrubbed repeatedly, with the target pushed to no earlier than July 31. Even so, Isar signed a $112.5 million pad deal at Spaceport Nova Scotia and a launch contract with Planet, the first pairing of a German-built satellite with a German-built rocket, with much riding on Spectrum finally reaching orbit.
