Isar Aerospace is a German launch company that builds and flies the Spectrum rocket from Andøya Spaceport in Norway. Its first flight failed in 2025 and its second slipped repeatedly through mid-2026, during which it still signed a $112.5 million pad deal at Spaceport Nova Scotia and a launch contract with Planet. On 5 September 2026 Spectrum reached orbit and deployed five CubeSats, making Isar the first European commercial company to deliver satellites to orbit; it is now scaling a Munich production site designed for up to 40 vehicles a year.
