The Long Build is a personal publication by Thomas di Luccio. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit this site, and how it is handled. The site is hosted in Europe and operated under EU law.
What data is collected
Server logs. The web server automatically records standard access logs: IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. These logs are retained for a short period for security and diagnostic purposes and are not shared with third parties.
No analytics. This site does not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics service. No cookies are set by this site for tracking or advertising purposes.
No third-party scripts. No social media widgets, advertising networks, or external tracking scripts are loaded on this site.
RSS feed. If you subscribe to the RSS feed, your feed reader may send requests to this server. No personal data is collected through feed subscriptions beyond what appears in standard server logs.
Cookies
This site sets one functional cookie: a dark mode preference stored locally in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data, is not shared with any third party, and is used solely to remember your display preference across visits.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data held about you. Given the minimal data collected by this site, the most likely scenario is that the only data held is what appears in server access logs, which are routinely deleted.
