VDL ETG is the high-tech contract manufacturing arm of the Dutch VDL Groep, built from Philips' former Enabling Technologies Group in Eindhoven, and one of ASML's key suppliers. In 2012 it took full product responsibility for ASML's wafer handler and moved about 120 engineers to its Acht site. Bits&Chips reported in October 2026 that the arrangement had failed and ASML had taken control of the module back.
