Valo is a utility-scale battery storage integrator owned equally by Wärtsilä and RCT Solutions of Konstanz, Germany. It launched on 1 October 2026, taking over Wärtsilä's storage business with more than 20 GWh across 130 projects worldwide. Former RCT Solutions chief Peter Fath runs it, and the company expects a loss in 2026 and profit toward the end of 2027.
