UBS is Switzerland's largest bank, headquartered in Zurich and enlarged by its 2023 absorption of Credit Suisse.
In September 2026 the Financial Times reported that UBS had made AI skills a condition for 2027 graduate and intern roles in global banking and markets, with interviews asking candidates to show how they use AI to improve their output. Santander is screening some trainees on similar grounds, which makes the hiring filter an early visible edge of a wider repricing of junior work in European banking.
