Thales Alenia Space is the satellite maker owned by Thales and Leonardo, headquartered in Cannes. It builds telecom, navigation, and Earth observation satellites and space station modules. In October 2026 ESA ordered two more Galileo Second Generation satellites from its Rome site, on top of the six it has built under contract since 2021.
