Statkraft is Norway's state-owned power company and Europe's largest generator of renewable electricity, with a trading arm that prices and hedges power risk for third parties.
In September 2026 it completed what it and SSE describe as the first FCA-regulated swap tied to a battery revenue index, taking the merchant risk on British storage revenue in exchange for paying SSE a fixed sum.
