Riverlane builds quantum error correction, the control layer that turns noisy physical qubits into usable logical ones. Founded in Cambridge in 2016 out of the university, it sells its Deltaflow stack to hardware makers rather than building a machine of its own, and already works with IQM and Quantum Motion. In September 2026 it opened a US headquarters and research hub in Maryland's Discovery District, beside the University of Maryland and the joint UMD-NIST quantum centre, and began hiring there across research, engineering and commercial roles.
