Reverion builds reversible solid oxide fuel cell power plants in Eresing, Bavaria. The same stack turns biogas, natural gas, or hydrogen into electricity at 74.2% efficiency while capturing the CO2 as a pure stream, and runs in reverse to turn surplus electricity into storable gas.
In September 2026 it closed a EUR 154.2 million ($175 million) Series B led by Kembara, with Allianz and KfW Capital joining. The money funds a German factory with 250 MW of annual output, ten times its current scale; seven 500 kW units already run at customer sites, and data centres short of grid capacity are the main target.
