QuantumDiamonds is a Munich startup and the first ever approved for EU Chips Act manufacturing money. In July 2026 it raised €91 million — a €15 million equity round led by World Fund plus €76 million non-dilutive from Germany's federal economy ministry and Bavaria. Its nitrogen-vacancy diamond sensors find hidden chip defects through non-destructive current imaging, compressing a weeks-long inspection into about two minutes; nine of the world's ten largest chipmakers have tested it. The funding builds a €152 million Munich production facility.
