Quantum Systems is a Munich-area maker of autonomous reconnaissance drones whose Vector drone has flown more than 19,000 missions in Ukraine. In July 2026 it closed a $1.2 billion Series D at a roughly $8 billion valuation, the largest private defence-tech round in European history, with Airbus deepening a strategic partnership. In October 2026 Germany agreed to finance several tens of thousands of its interceptor drones for Ukraine, designed and built by its Ukrainian venture Quantum WIY Industries.
