Palantir is the US data-analytics company, valued at around 330 billion dollars, whose software runs inside European policing, intelligence, defence and health systems. In 2026 it lost two national intelligence contracts in quick succession, with France's DGSI switching to ChapsVision in June and Germany's BfV making the same move in May. The pressure widened in August, when Spain instructed state-backed companies to bar Palantir from future public procurement and Britain faced a February 2027 decision on its GBP330 million NHS Federated Data Platform contract, even as NATO commanders said no European system yet matches its battlefield analytics.
