Orbis Medicines

Orbis Medicines designs synthetic macrocycles it calls nCycles, engineered for the oral bioavailability that has historically kept this class of molecule out of pill form. Founded in 2021 out of the Novo Holdings seed team and based in Copenhagen, it launched publicly in 2024 with EUR 26 million and has raised EUR 116 million in total, including a EUR 90 million Series A led by NEA. In September 2026 it signed a multi-target discovery and licence agreement with Novo Nordisk for cardiometabolic disease worth up to USD 1.4 billion in upfront and milestone payments, plus royalties and a strategic equity stake. The platform stayed with Orbis.
