MuRay builds imaging systems that send controlled muon beams through dense metal, ceramics, and composites, aimed first at 3D-printed rocket engine and turbine parts that are too thick for X-rays. Founded in 2025 by physicists Andi Hektor and Kristjan Põder, it works from DESY in Hamburg and from Tallinn. In October 2026 it raised EUR 7.1 million, half of it public money, and plans a first real inspection on DESY's electron beam in 2027.
