Minoryx Therapeutics develops treatments for rare central nervous system disorders from Mataro, near Barcelona. Its lead drug leriglitazone targets cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy, a demyelinating disease that can kill within three to four years of onset and has no approved pharmacological treatment in the EU. In July 2026 the EMA's human medicines committee recommended the drug for authorisation under exceptional circumstances, two years after rejecting the same file, on Phase 2/3 NEXUS1 data plus real-world evidence from compassionate use. Neuraxpharm will commercialise it in Europe if the Commission confirms the opinion.
