Lakestar is a Zurich-founded venture capital firm with offices in Berlin and London, built by Klaus Hommels around early and growth-stage bets in fintech, deep tech and mobility, with early wins in Facebook, Skype and Klarna. In July 2026 it closed Resilience I at €262.2 million, its first fund dedicated solely to European defence and dual-use technology, backing portfolio companies including Isar Aerospace and Helsing.
