Innovafeed

Innovafeed is a Paris-based insect-protein producer that closed €51 million in June 2026 as the sector hits industrialisation. Its Nesle facility in northern France is fully operational, having produced over 15,000 tonnes of black soldier fly protein and oil, with volumes up tenfold and costs down sevenfold. It is cutting R&D headcount and redirecting toward commercial growth in aquaculture and pet food — a signal the science is settled and market penetration is the variable.
