ID Finance is a Barcelona consumer lender founded in 2012 by former Deutsche Bank bankers Boris Batine and Alexander Dunaev, operating in Spain and Mexico. In October 2026 it raised EUR 545 million, mostly asset-backed debt from i80 Group, to move from short-term loans into buy-now, pay-later through its Plazo app. It calls the round the largest in Spanish fintech, and it lands weeks before the revised Consumer Credit Directive brings buy-now, pay-later under creditworthiness checks.
