Helsing is a Munich-based defence-AI company developing software for battlefield decision-making and producing the HX-2 loitering munition. In July 2026 it closed a $1.8 billion Series E at an $18 billion valuation, the largest financing round in European defence-tech history, keeping roughly 80% of its cap table European as a deliberate stance against US competitors like Anduril. The Bundeswehr's framework contract reaches €1.46 billion over seven years. In October 2026 it moved into air defence with Contra, a system that links existing sensors and launchers, and two low-cost interceptors, AD-1 Inferno and AD-2 Ambush.
