Hanwha Q-Cells is the solar module maker of South Korea's Hanwha group, with a German subsidiary and a research centre in Bitterfeld-Wolfen. In November 2026 it denied rumours of leaving Europe and said it will refocus the German unit on research, closing its Berlin sales division. It stopped direct residential sales in Germany about a year earlier and now sells through roughly 1,000 partners.
