Ground A

Ground A is a German defence company building laser-based counter-drone systems. Its GA 1000 pairs radar and computer vision with laser effectors in a unit under 200 kilograms, small enough to sit on a Euro-pallet and be integrated into existing air defence and command systems, with a human operator deciding whether to fire. Founded in January 2026, it left stealth in September with a pre-seed of more than €9 million led by Vsquared Ventures and is setting up modular series production in Germany.
