Ginkgo Bioworks is a Boston synthetic biology company whose Ginkgo Datapoints unit generates large lab datasets for AI model training. In September 2026 Ginkgo Datapoints and Berlin's Apheris launched an antibody developability consortium with AbbVie, argenx, Lundbeck, and Takeda; Ginkgo leads the scientific design, antibody production, and lab characterisation, and trains a foundation model on the pooled data.
