Epyr is a Paris energy company founded in 2024 by Léa Dardenne and Bastien Oggeri. Its units heat firebricks with cheap electricity and release the stored heat as industrial steam, sold as Heat-as-a-Service. Its first unit at WEPA's Troyes paper mill supplies up to a quarter of the site's steam; in October 2026 it raised a €15 million Series A led by SlateVC and is building a 35 MWh unit for Papeco to replace all of that mill's gas.
