Ecowende is the joint venture of Shell, Eneco and Chubu Electric Power that built the 760 MW Hollandse Kust West VI offshore wind farm in the Dutch North Sea. In October 2026 Van Oord installed the last of its 52 Vestas 15 MW turbines. It generated first power in July and expects full operation by the end of 2026, with bird-protection and reef measures it calls the most ecological design to date.
