- AI savings target
- EUR 2.5bn a year by 2030
Deutsche Telekom is the Bonn telecoms group that owns a majority of T-Mobile US.
In October 2026 it set a target of EUR 2.5 billion a year in lower indirect costs by 2030 against 2023, with EUR 1.1 billion of gross savings due in 2027, largely through AI in network operations, customer service, and software development. Its Frag Magenta assistant handled about 2.6 million service calls in the first half of 2026, and in the US AI agents now handle 40% of customer contacts.
