- EUR 10 million agreement with Swiss Quantum Technology
D-Wave builds quantum annealers, machines suited to optimisation problems, and also works on gate-model systems. It was founded in Burnaby, Canada, and is listed on Nasdaq. In October 2026 it delivered a 4,400-qubit Advantage2 annealer to Villa Saporiti in Como, Italy's first, paid for by Swiss Quantum Technology under a EUR 10 million agreement and open to Italian users through D-Wave's cloud.
