Catalyxx converts bioethanol into butanol, hexanol and octanol, lower-carbon substitutes for petrochemical industrial inputs that remain compatible with existing supply chains. The Seville-based company will build a €120 million commercial plant in Sines, Portugal, chosen for its deep-water port and renewable power access, designated a Project of National Interest by Lisbon.
