Booking.com is the Amsterdam-based online travel platform owned by Booking Holdings, designated a very large online platform under the Digital Services Act. In October 2026 the European Commission opened formal DSA proceedings over how it handles fake listings and phishing scams that exploit guest data, and whether paid-for ranking boosts are clearly labelled as ads.
