Ampleon

Ampleon makes RF power semiconductors in Nijmegen for wireless infrastructure, broadcast, and industrial heating. It was carved out of NXP in December 2015 and sold to Chinese investors, and is now owned by Wuxi Xichanweixin Semiconductor. In July 2026 it removed all Chinese nationals from its executive and supervisory boards, leaving CEO Dave Hartskeerl as sole statutory director, after discussions with the Dutch government about technology transfer. It had already changed its articles to require a two-thirds supervisory board majority before any R&D can move out of the Netherlands.
