Actimed Therapeutics is a UK clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company founded in 2017 and based in Ascot, working on cachexia and other muscle wasting disorders that still have no approved treatment. Its lead asset, S-oxprenolol, was licensed to the US company Faraday Pharmaceuticals in 2021 for cancer cachexia and all indications except ALS. In August 2026 Actimed reacquired global rights to the compound, taking back full development, manufacturing and commercialisation control.
